First Annual Fatburger Challenge
WE CAN’T BELIEVE HE ATE THAT!
 
BURBANK, CALIFORNIA — Fresh from his debut appearance on the Food Network’s Man v. Food Nation, Naader “Freak8R” Reda once again captivated an audience by competing in Fatburger’s 6 lb. burger challenge on Saturday. Reda surprised locals by consuming a total of a dozen hamburger patties, complete with buns, lettuce, and tomato in 33 minutes to claim the $50.00 prize.
 
“This is the most meat I have eaten in a competition. I’ll be coming back next year to break my own record,” Naader said following his win. Reda has completed over seventy food challenges since January 2011 and is one of the rising stars of competitive eating.
 
Second place in the competition went to Mary Bowers, who consumed approximately 3 lbs. of burgers within the 33 minute timeframe.
